+ framework for communicating impact

This is a bit of a unique week because Tommy Geoco and his film crew are at my place shooting an episode of “This is Taste” 🎥

I have no idea what the output will look like but it turned into a really fun behind-the-scenes of both Dive Club and Inflight so I’m excited to share it with you soon.

Don’t worry though… I still have the goods for you today :)
Let’s dive in 👇
🤝 WITH RAYCAST
Raycast is my portal to AI.
It's a quick keyboard shortcut away, which means it's always at my fingertips.
I can add attachments, build presets to streamline certain workflows, and they even support over 30 models from OpenAI to Claude to Perplexity.
So your chats aren't bound to a single model, and the best part is you can try their AI in all of their extensions for free.

No subscription, no account needed. Raycast has pretty quickly become the cornerstone of how I use my computer.
So if you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and click the link to enter your own portal to AI 👇

Remember Dan Winer from Kit?
His episode talked about all of the ways to become more strategic + advance your career. One of the key ideas that really stuck with me was the importance of communicating both the user problem and the business problem when presenting your work.
So I asked him if I could share a free preview of his top-selling course Strategy and Influence for Product Designers and he agreed 🙌
So here’s a lesson video all about his framework for communicating impact in your work 👇

🔗 FEATURED RESOURCE
You don’t need animations
When done right, animations make an interface feel predictable, faster, and more enjoyable to use. They help you and your product stand out.
But they can also do the opposite. They can make an interface feel unpredictable, slow, and annoying. They can even make your users lose trust in your product.

So how do you know when and how to animate to improve the experience?
That’s what this article from Emil Kowalski is all about 👇
🔗 FEATURED RESOURCE
Prompting Is A Design Act: How To Brief, Guide And Iterate With AI

Vitaly Friedman’s AI patterns episode has received as much positive feedback as any I’ve ever shipped.
So I wanted to double down and share a recent article from Smashing Magazine all about the art of prompting.
Lyndon Cerejo shares the WIRE+FRAME framework:
- Clearly define the AI’s role and the task.
- Provide relevant context and data.
- Set rules and constraints.
- Specify the expected output format.
- Add details like tone, step-by-step flow, and opportunities for clarification and iteration.
The whole article is incredibly detailed and a great bookmark 👇
🧃 INSPIRATION JUICE
3 things I saved this week
1️⃣ Tilted labels

These labels with a bg and slight tilt are really nice 👌 It’s such a simple treatment but it really stands out imo.

2️⃣ Depth banner
This little “10% boost” label from Sebastiano is excellent 💯

3️⃣ Basedash dithered cards
Basedash is quickly becoming one of my go-to sources of design inspiration.
Ever since Tom demonstrated how he creates the dithering effect I’ve been obsessed.
