my new workflow for prototyping with Claude Code

Last week I was prototyping some new features for Inflight and discovered an entirely new workflow using Claude Code.

Now I’m hooked.

So I decided to make an episode that shows my process step by step along with some of the key things I’ve learned about prototyping with AI.

Be warned… once you try it you’re not going to want to go back 😅

🤝 WITH LOVABLE

So Lovable just had another big time release…

You can now build and customize online stores powered by Shopify and Lovable.

Early in my career I was really into Shopify but I always felt limited by their templates and was always super intimidated by doing anything too custom.

But now you can go from idea to storefront to selling in just a matter of minutes.

It’s a big deal for the future of commerce so if you’ve ever wanted to build an online store, now is the time 👇

🔗 FEATURED RESOURCE

Soleio’s go-to interview question

As the second designer at Facebook and Head of Design at Dropbox, Soleio has hired some of the most prolific designers in the world.

So let’s imagine he’s the hiring manager at a startup you’re keen on joining.

Here's how he would run your interview 👇

🔗 FEATURED RESOURCE

Cursor’s internal guide to building

This is a Notion guide that helps non-technical technically lite employees at Cursor get comfortable with the tool and start building their ideas.

Definitely worthy of a bookmark 👇

🔗 FEATURED RESOURCE

Own a graph

If you enjoyed Ryan Scott’s episode about the skills that get designers promoted then I think you’ll appreciate this resource.

It’s all about the importance of making sure the work you do on a quarterly basis can always show up on a graph (reducing pages, improving performance, saving money, etc.)

There are many ways to do work that doesn’t matter and there are many ways to do work that matters but fail to articulate that value well. Owning a graph solves both of these problems.

I’ll be carrying this mental model with me moving forward.

🧃 INSPIRATION JUICE

3 things I saved this week

1️⃣ Dotted icon concept

These are fresh and you can easily imagine how well they animate 👏

2️⃣ Dither gradient

It’s becoming harder to stand out with dithering at this point, but I’ve never seen a dither gradient before 👀 Also Ashish is a great Twitter follow.

3️⃣ Button decoration

I’m a big fan of subtle CTA decorations. This adds such a playful touch to the design 👌
