🤿 the challenge of designing for AI
+ sneak peek of how i use Lovable

AI introduces an opportunity for all kinds of novel interaction patterns.
But it creates a whole new category of design challenges too…
And this episode breaks down the biggest challenge of all 👇
🤝 WITH JITTER
You already know how big of a Jitter fan I am but their latest release is hands down the best one yet.
Now Jitter has an infinite canvas for animation design 🙌

Within 30 seconds of using it… I knew this was always the way it should be:
Iterating is 10x easier
Collaborating with team members makes way more sense
And you can scale content across formats using multiple artboards all in a single file
Jitter is crazy… like this product is so good now you gotta try it out 👇

AI is reshaping UI

Speaking of AI interaction design… I thought this article from Tetiana did a great job of highlighting what matters most.
The idea that really stood out to me is that AI represents a shift from command-based to intent-based interactions.
“With the new AI systems, the user no longer tells the computer what to do. Rather, the user tells the computer what outcome they want”
Direct manipulation isn’t going anywhere, but designers need to enhance it by layering new interaction models on top of established patterns 👇

How I’m prototyping with Lovable

I’m starting to reach for Lovable prototypes a lot more in my design process…
So I decided to make a raw behind-the-scenes of my most recent creation for Inflight.
Hopefully it inspires ideas of your own :)

3 things I saved this week
1️⃣ Highlighted pricing card
The more I study the Outseta website the more I save to my taste library…
My latest addition was this pricing page. I’m a big fan of how the Founder plan pops out of you and the copy “Start here and scale up” is a nice touch too.

2️⃣ Depth effects from Webflow
Webflow recently released their new AI site builder landing page and tbh it’s a bit scroll-jacked for my liking 😬
But I still saved it because they create some really interesting depth effects throughout the page.

3️⃣ Faded photos as a mockup backdrop
I really like this composition from Jay and will definitely be looking for an excuse to riff on the concept ✌️

How much did you enjoy this issue?Never hesitate to reply with feedback too :) |
